lyrics
From beyond the shadows
I can feel it lurking
Waiting to strike
Biding its time
It feels like no one wants to know
As if they're choosing not to see
There's no way that they cannot know
Such blindness can't be true
Or is it my eyes that deceive?
What is it that I have not seen?
A detail that I've overlooked
One final missing piece
There is no vision to share
You've kept me in the dark
For far too long now
From where I'm standing, I repeat
There is no end to justify
From where you're standing you push on
Adding to the burden
This hallowed ground on which we stand
Approaches point of no return
From which our fates will be decided
With no hope of turning back
There is no vision to share
You've kept me in the dark
For far too long now
I cannot follow so blindly
This is more than a leap of faith
This is more than I can allow
In the face of the devil
That you have always denied
Choosing to endure
And continue to defile
That which was is erased
To become your unholy crypt
And the final resting place
Of the blasphemous
There is no vision to share
You've kept me in the dark
For far too long now
I cannot follow so blindly
This is more than a leap of faith
This is more than I can allow

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
