lyrics
As I face the abyss
Staring into the figure before me
Its shape I recognise
But its contents leave me lost
The silence of my voice
Resonates within us both
There are pieces familiar
Yet something echoes out of key
The more I try to fathom
The more I drift away
To the point of no return
Where it all becomes so clear
A callous soul
Unwillingly forced upon me
This path I did not choose
But it's now the only one I know
Made cold by my forced immersion
This is not what was meant for me
We are far beyond regression
Fake no more tears
For I am naught but what you have made me into
Made cold by my forced immersion
This is not what was meant for me
We are far beyond regression
Fake no more tears
For I am naught but a husk of my former self

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
