lyrics
Condemned
Confined to the brig of a sinking vessel
This despair is all that I have ever known
Born to be forever restrained by the delusion
That we are anything more than insignificant
Cling to facades and your false beliefs
To the lies that you tell yourself
Rejecting that which you can't conform
That which falls from the line
To demons calling our names
By their songs of seductive fire
Denied my chance to rightfully choose
Between the paths that branch before me
My alignment forced to coincide
To kneel before you and join your suicide pact
Take the time to realign
Discard the lies and no longer deny
See the scope and compare yourselves
Perceive our lives from beyond our eyes
Guitar Solo: Alex
And beyond our ways, should we maintain
May our pollution remain contained
May no more come to ascertain
And thus never know of our shame

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
