lyrics
Overwhelmed
Drowning in the discord
Dragged beneath, to once again
Compete amidst the growing masses
Crying out for a fleeting moment
For a glimpse of vital clarity
Recurrent, yet always inadequate
With every thousand moments passed
A million more would barely break the mould
As our lives are dazed by the dissonance
And the seer falls to the charlatan
You cannot deny it, or fight it
And you can no longer hide it
Your secrets are out for all to see
Embrace the change, rewrite my destiny
Rewrite
Rewrite
Rewrite my destiny
You cannot deny it, or fight it
And you can no longer hide it
Your secrets are out for all to see
Embrace the change, rewrite my destiny

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
